I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Macewan University, Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and Psychology Doctorate (PsyD) at California Southern University, researching traumatic loss in children. Over the years, I have worked at various private and community mental health organizations with children, adolescents, and adults.

I utilize a range of evidence-based approaches including Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Somatic (body)-based interventions, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT and Trauma Focused-CBT), Intergenerational Trauma Treatment Model (ITTM), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and The Grief Recovery Method®. I have additional training and education on assisting parent-child attachment relationships, recovery from childhood trauma/abuse, managing substance use/dependence, and supporting young children and their caregivers.

I am a Certified Play Therapist (CPT), Registered Circle of Security® Parent Facilitator (COS-P), and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®. I offer billing as a Non-Insured Health Benefit (NIHB) provider and Medavie provider which covers Medavie Blue Cross, RCMP, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).

I was originally drawn into the work of psychology wanting to help people in a meaningful way. Since childhood, I have valued the importance of helping others and believe that therapy is one of the ways I can do this.

As a Registered Psychologist, I value authenticity and enjoy bringing humor, generosity, and evidence-based practices to my clients. My therapeutic approach is integrative in which I use a variety of techniques and approaches to customize therapy to individual needs. I believe healing is achieved in relationships and strive to build supportive and safe connections with my clients. While I enjoy working with individuals facing any life struggle at any age, I am particularly passionate about supporting children and parents impacted by traumatic loss.

Outside my clinical work, I supervise students through various university programs and serve as a Faculty of Education Adjunct Academic Colleague with the University of Alberta. Additionally, I volunteer as a board director and education committee member for the Canadian Association for Play Therapy (CAPT).
